Washington State PTAC Hosts Proposal Writing Workshops

KENT, WA, Jan. 16, 2015 – Lorraine D'Ignazio, founder of MarkeTrainer – an Oregon-based business consulting firm – will lead three all-day RFP training programs focused on winning government contracts by using their exclusive SIP© Process to analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and write successful proposals. The 8-hour sessions are being held by the Washington State Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) on Jan. 22, Feb. 9 and Feb. 13 in Kent, Spokane and Vancouver, respectively.

"Government RFPs are the most complex, intimidating breed of RFPs, and always challenging, especially for small businesses," D'Ignazio says. "They're highly focused and detailed, down to the last letter, and require responses that are just as laser-focused.

"I developed the SIP Process© more than 25 years ago and have been teaching it ever since. It was then, and continues to be, an effective proposal-writing process that demystifies RFPs and can help seasoned business owners, as well as newcomers to this specialized field, succeed."

"Once someone has mastered this technique, they'll be fully equipped to respond to any type of RFP, for any type of proposal – and for any type of client," D'Ignazio notes.

The SIP Process©, MarkeTrainer's exclusive, winning approach to breaking down an RFP, focuses on three key areas: separating the contents of the RFP; interpreting and integrating the RFP instructions and criteria; and preparing a detailed, highly targeted outline before writing begins. In addition to focusing on winning government contracts, the Washington training sessions will offer insights about strategy, company positioning and how to identify a company's unique strengths they can leverage to set them apart from the competition in any industry.

D'Ignazio is presenting workshops to include the SIP Process© at three Washington locations:
