SHARP CORPORATION LICENSES IMAGINATION TECHNOLOGIES' BROADCAST RECEIVER IP PLATFORM

KINGS LANGLEY, UK, Feb. 6, 2007 -- Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE:IMG; "Imagination") - a leader in System-on-Chip Intellectual Property ("SoC IP") - reports that Sharp Corporation ("Sharp"), a leading consumer electronics company, has licensed Imagination Technologies' multi-standard Broadcast Receiver IP Platform, under a new multiple-use licensing agreement, for use by Sharp Semiconductor Group in SoCs targeting new markets.

The Imagination Technologies Broadcast Receiver IP Platform is based on Imagination's UCC and META processing cores. The solution delivers market-leading features and performance in a highly integrated silicon IP platform supported by comprehensive firmware, software drivers, and development tools.

Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination receives license fees and royalty revenues on SoCs incorporating Imagination's IP shipped by partners.
